Step 01

Let’s unpack this.

Inside each Clean Air Kit, you and your students will find 4 air filters, 1 box fan, and duct tape. Add scissors, and you have everything you need to build an air purifier!

Whether you’re building the air purifier with your students, as part of a PTO boxathon, or with a few colleagues, you can access the assembly instructions here. It takes 30-45 minutes to build one air purifier.

The NGSS-aligned lessons feature Engineering, Technology, and Science standards (ETS1 and 2). The full series takes about four hours of instructional time. Feel free to adapt and adjust these plans as needed!
